Satish Sheth, M.D., is Chairman and CEO of Lawriter, the parent company of Casemaker. He has had an ownership stake in legal research companies since 2001 when he became Co-Chairman and CEO of Jurisearch, presiding over the subsequent acquisition and integration of National Law Library and Casemaker/Lawriter. To support the vastly increased database management operations of the combined companies under the Casemaker brand, he founded a back office operation in Mumbai, India, which now employs 160 people. Dr. Sheth is also a full-time emergency pediatrician for Kaiser Permenante in Panorama City, California. He finished his medical school at Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, India and was trained at Maimanoides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he was Chief Resident in charge of 40 pediatricians in training. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1989, and has been with Kaiser Permenante since then as full-time physician.
Sarah Gorman has nearly 30 years of experience in the legal publishing industry. She joined the Michie Company, law publishers in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1989 and worked her way through the editorial ranks and several changes in ownership to become a product management group leader for LexisNexis. In 2000 she joined the company that would become Lawriter, LLC, producers of Casemaker, and was named Chief Operating Officer in October, 2017. Ms. Gorman received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, and her J.D. from Washington and Lee University. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
Dan McCade has more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry with degrees in computer science, information systems and business. Dan spent his first 15 years as an IT consultant working in the Washington, D.C. Metro area on large scale enterprise Department of Defense, Federal and State agency projects. Dan’s last 18 years have been dedicated to designing, implementing and maintaining the software to collect, convert, update and publish data to various online legal research platforms.
Lisa has spent her career in the legal information industry, starting with Matthew Bender in Binghamton NY. She moved to Charlottesville after Matthew Bender was acquired by LexisNexis , to join a small entrepreneurial group that focused on collaborative relationships with other legal content providers. She worked with several state bar associations in that role. Lisa joined Casemaker in September 2018. She received her B.S. from Wilkes University in Business Administration and Management.
A 20-year veteran of the legal information industry, Norman Woolworth has a proven track record of turning customer understanding into actionable insights and successful marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Casemaker, Norman served in a variety of marketing leadership and executive management roles at LexisNexis, notably in the law firm, bar association, and federal and state and local government markets. Norman holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Virginia and a B.A. from Tulane University.
Khristina Williams is the Support and Marketing Manager for Casemaker and has worked with the company for nearly a decade. She attended Old Dominion University where she received a B.S. in Communications. Khristina has more than two decades of experience in customer centric support and marketing efforts in a variety of industries with a focus on business to business support, speciality publishing and web based technologies.
As Lead Developer, Harshil Shah is responsible for the architectural design and feature functioning of the Casemaker platform. He works with management and support personnel in the U.S. to gather user requirements and feedback, and oversees the implementation of platform enhancements in close collaboration with the programming team in India. Harshil holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Mumbai University.
Babu Nacka maintains the integrity of the network infrastructure that supports the Casemaker platform, and is responsible for the development and proper functioning of the company’s internal systems and processes. A well-rounded Information Technology professional, Babu works with teams in the U.S. and India to monitor system performance, troubleshoot potential issues, and ensure that effective security protocols are in place.
